A little help for the sidelines

Parents’ questions, answered.

How do we arrange a trial and join the club?

Start by looking at our teams and checking whether the training times suit. Contact the coach to check availability and arrange a trial training session. Once your child, you and the coach are happy to proceed, complete the Spond registration form. Please arrange the trial before attending.

What should my child bring to a trial?

Bring water, shin pads and clothing for the weather. Check with the coach which boots suit the playing surface and what kit is needed before buying anything.

When and where does my child train?

Times and venues vary by team. Your coach will confirm your schedule and any changes. Do not assume every session or away match is at Ambassadors Arena; check the team message and venue before travelling.

Where do I find fixtures, results and cancellations?

Visit your team’s page for published fixtures and results. For last-minute changes, weather cancellations and meeting times, check your team’s messages or ask the coach. Website fixture information may not reflect a late change immediately.

How much are fees and how do I pay?

For finance and Spond enquiries, contact Chris McCourt on 07590 993636. Confirm the current fees, due dates and payment instructions for your child’s team before setting up a payment.

What kit should we buy?

Check your team’s requirements with the coach first. For kit enquiries, contact Keith Dawson on 07908 542552. The club shop has kit information and size guides. Check the current ordering and collection arrangements when buying; collection is not guaranteed on the same day. For a printed name or number, ask about a local printing shop.

What if my child cannot attend?

Let the coach know as early as possible and respond to attendance requests in your team’s group. Share relevant health or welfare concerns privately with the coach before the session, rather than posting sensitive details in a group chat.

What should parents do on matchdays?

Confirm the meeting time, venue and drop-off or collection arrangements with your coach. Encourage the players, respect officials and opponents, and let the coach give the football instructions. Read our Code of Conduct for the club’s expectations.

Who do I speak to about a welfare concern?

Our welfare officer is Chris Morrissey. Contact him directly on 07791 096137. Avoid sharing sensitive information in public team messages.

We are new and still have a question. Who can help?

Your team coach is the best contact for session arrangements. For joining enquiries or help finding the right person, email hello@ambassadorsfc.org or call 07733 829165.
