About the Club
Ambassadors FC
A community football club with a Christian ethos, founded in 2006 and built on a belief that football is for everyone — from the youngest academy player to the senior first team.
Get in TouchBorn in Senegal. Built in Northern Ireland.
Ambassadors FC was founded in 2006 — a club with Christian roots, a clear mission, and a story that starts thousands of miles from Mid Ulster.
Before there was a squad, there were trips to Senegal. A group of people travelled out to use football as a way to share the gospel of Jesus Christ — and what they found there changed them. The relationships, the passion for the game, and the power of football to open doors stayed with them long after they came home.
Back in Northern Ireland, they wanted to keep doing something with that energy. So in 2006, Ambassadors FC was born — entering Mid Ulster Division 4 with a men's team and a simple but serious purpose. The early years were competitive ones. Between 2006 and 2015 the club was a men's-only set-up, with a strong run of promotions and cup finals that built the club's identity and reputation in the local football community.
From 2015 onwards, the vision grew. The club developed a full youth academy, launched a ladies team and girls academy, and gave women's and junior football a proper home and pathway. Alongside that, Ambassadors secured their own home pitch, and invested in a new 3G playing surface with LED floodlights — building an infrastructure that now serves the whole club and the wider community.
Today, Ambassadors FC is a full community club grounded in a Christian ethos, serving players of every age and background across Northern Ireland.

Part of something bigger.
Ambassadors FC is the club expression of Ambassadors Football Ireland, a registered charity and part of a global network of around 30 Ambassadors Football offices operating across multiple continents.
Each office uses football as a vehicle to build community, share the gospel, and create opportunities for people who might otherwise be on the margins of the game. The network stretches from Northern Ireland to Africa, Asia, and beyond — all connected by the same mission and the same name on the badge.
Ambassadors Football Ireland also founded and continues to support Hope Football — known as Yakaar in Senegal. It was the trips to Senegal through Hope Football that gave birth to Ambassadors FC in 2006, and that relationship has never stopped. Hope Football remains a core part of what Ambassadors Football Ireland is and does.
